A small sub-appellation on the Oregon side of the Walla Walla Valley, named for the cobblestones left by the Walla Walla River.

Why the stones matter
The Walla Walla Valley is more varied than most people expect: scenic estates out toward the foothills, the Rocks District over in Oregon, quiet afternoons on the eastern slopes. The Rocks are the part of that map defined by river cobbles under the vines.
