Shared wine tours in the Walla Walla Valley
Shared tours suit couples, small groups and solo travelers. You’ll spend the day traveling with other guests, but by default, will have your own table reserved at each winery. Having said that, it is very common for groups to build quick rapport, and choose to sit together for some or all of the tastings throughout the day. Walla Walla has a way of drawing in thoughtful visitors and connecting people in general, especially those with a shared interest in wine (and food, and music, and art…).
Shared tours are five hours, $95 per guest (or $115 with lunch), and run any day of the week. They are booked through our partner, Walla Walla Travel, and delivered by NW Touring & Concierge.
Can our group book a shared tour together?
It’s possible, but there’s a point/group size where it’s a better value to go with a private tour (typically 9 or more guests, but please contact us for more information).
The same day we run privately, with a few more people in it
Pickup starts at 10 a.m. at your lodging in Walla Walla. The route is set before anyone arrives, the appointments are booked, typically at three wineries, and lunch has a place in the middle of the day. Your host takes care of the details and the timing, so all you have to do is taste.
What changes is the company. You will be tasting alongside people who chose the same day for their own reasons, which for a lot of guests turns out to be the best part of it.
You can book a single seat
One person can buy one seat. The minimums below are what it takes for the tour to depart, not what you have to book: two guests Sunday through Wednesday, and six Thursday through Saturday. Walla Walla Travel confirms each departure ahead of the date and will tell you where yours stands.
Shared tours are for guests 21 and over. Extra time can be arranged on the day when everyone on the tour agrees, at an hourly rate per guest. Gratuity is at your discretion. Online booking closes at midnight the night before; for a same-day seat, call us at (509) 540-3600 and we will fit you in when we can.
Winery tasting fees are paid directly to each winery, typically $20 to $50 per person at each winery. The deposit is refunded in full if you cancel 10 or more days before the tour, and it is non-refundable inside 10 days.

NW Touring & Concierge plans and operates every shared departure — the route, the appointments, the vehicle and the host. We are licensed in Washington and Oregon and for interstate travel; the credentials are on our licensing page.
Walla Walla Travel handles the reservations: the calendar, deposits, confirmations and guest communication.
Traveling with a group of your own?
A private day runs on your date whether or not anyone else books, and we build the route around what your group wants. For a group of nine or more, it is usually the better value as well. Private days for two start at $85 an hour Sunday through Wednesday and $95 an hour Thursday through Saturday.
