Walla Walla’s wine weekends, and touring them
The valley’s coming wine weekends: Fall Release Weekend, November 6–8, 2026; Holiday Barrel Weekend, December 4–6, 2026; Spring Kick-Off Weekend, April 2–4, 2027; and Spring Release Weekend, May 7–9, 2027.
The weekends are organized by the Walla Walla Valley Wine Alliance and are among the busiest in the valley. Northwest Touring & Concierge plans private days around them, so your group can move between tasting rooms and events without anyone driving. Tell us your dates early.
The release weekends
Fall Release Weekend
November 6–8, 2026
Wineries across the valley pour their newest releases, often wines available only at the winery, with open houses and events through the weekend.
Holiday Barrel Weekend
December 4–6, 2026
Barrel tastings and holiday open houses at the start of the season, with downtown dressed for the holidays.
Spring Kick-Off Weekend
April 2–4, 2027
The first of the spring wine weekends, as tasting rooms come into the new season.
Spring Release Weekend
May 7–9, 2027
New vintages released as the season begins, with special tastings and open houses around the valley.
Dates are set by the organizer and can change; the current calendar and each weekend’s events are on the Walla Walla Valley Wine Alliance site.
Harvest
September and October bring the valley to life as the fruit comes in. It is the most rewarding stretch of the year for many visitors, and the calendar tightens: harvest weekends fill first, so two to three months ahead is sensible for them. Midweek dates are often open on shorter notice.
How we plan a release weekend
On a release weekend the tasting rooms are busy and the appointments go early. We book yours as part of planning the day, route the group between them, and build in lunch, so the weekend is spent tasting rather than driving and parking. Pickup is at your hotel, your rental or the airport, and there is case storage on board for the new releases. Release weekends are priced at our usual hourly rates.
